This Might Be The One

calendarI’m of the persuasion that God does divine appointments on a regular basis. By that I mean, He puts us in places where we intersect with just the right people at the right time.

The problem with most of us is that we’re in such a big hurry we may not recognize the one person we’re supposed to meet, or talk to, or help.

So here’s my advice. Slow down. Be in the moment. Be where you are. Put aside the phone and the email and be aware of your surroundings. Look at people. Don’t ignore them; the person who checks you out at the cash register, the person who waits on you, the person coming out of the restaurant or into the restaurant. Be aware, because God may have some divine appointments. And you may miss them.

Remember, everything that God wants you to do, of any significance, has to do with your relationships with other people. So never forget. People are never an interruption; they are the reason you are where you are doing what you are. They are the ones who are going to help you make the right connections or help you accomplish the vision, mission and goals that God has given to you.

Be aware, smile, put out your hand, and let the people around you know that you are open for business. You’ll be amazed at what happens, because that person you meet after you are through reading this blog just might be the one.
