{"id":3448,"date":"2010-11-21T17:48:59","date_gmt":"2010-11-21T23:48:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/192.185.166.32\/~davidfoster\/?p=3448"},"modified":"2010-11-21T17:48:59","modified_gmt":"2010-11-21T23:48:59","slug":"as-you-go-into-thanksgiving-are-you-counting-your-blessings","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.davidfoster.tv\/as-you-go-into-thanksgiving-are-you-counting-your-blessings\/","title":{"rendered":"As You Go Into Thanksgiving, Are You Counting Your Blessings?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" style=\"margin-left: 10px; margin-right: 10px;\" src=\"http:\/\/i355.photobucket.com\/albums\/r472\/barbaramcgee\/yeaGod2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"153\" height=\"161\" \/>Today at <a href=\"http:\/\/g3church.com\">The Gathering<\/a> we continued in our current series \u201cYea God: Eight Things You Can\u2019t Learn About God in Church\u201d with the installment entitled, <strong>\u201cYea God: You Give the Best Gifts.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>One of the saddest tragedies I\u2019ve ever witnessed (and I witness it way too often) is a person who has everything in the world for which to be thankful, except the power to be so.\u00a0 Their attitude reflects a sense of entitlement; that somehow God owes them a pass in life.\u00a0 Today we talked about the attitude above all attitudes.\u00a0 That\u2019s the attitude of gratitude.\u00a0 One of the most amazing Scriptures in the New Testament is often overlooked.\u00a0 It simply says, and I quote, <strong>\u201cNo matter what happens, always be thankful, for this is God\u2019s will for you.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>No matter what happens, which means all of my circumstances get interpreted in light of Who God is, rather than interpreting God in light of the circumstances.\u00a0 So today we talked about God\u2019s best gifts.\u00a0 Think of this.\u00a0 The Scriptures teach us that every good and perfect gift is from above.
