\"\"One of the most elusive things, it seems, we pursue in life is contentment.\u00a0 Even when we pursue it, we really wonder what it is.<\/span><\/p>\n

For a lot of people contentment is not wanting anything, being satisfied with mediocre, and really just another word for being lazy.\u00a0 But is that really what contentment is?<\/span><\/p>\n

Jesus said, “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness for they will be filled (or contented).”\u00a0 Contentment isn’t the lack of desire.\u00a0 It’s putting the proper desire at the core of your life.<\/span><\/p>\n

The way to contentment is not through the lack of passion and ambition, but having the right core.\u00a0<\/strong> The Scriptures teach us that our lives reflect what we worship.\u00a0 In other words whatever is at the core is what will give us contentment, or not.\u00a0 To worship your job means discontentment.\u00a0 To worship a football coach is discontentment.\u00a0 To worship a thing, to worship power, all lead to discontentment.\u00a0 But to worship God your Creator, and Jesus your Redeemer, leads to the kind of contentment that truly satisfies.<\/span><\/p>\n
